Way back in 1996, my then boyfriend (now husband) joined the Pearl Jam fan club. One of the perks of being in the fan club is that you get to special order tickets before they go on sale - AND you get seats in the "special" Ten Club section of the venue. So, in the spring of 96, we got notification that Pearl Jam was touring and we could order 2 tickets to any of their shows. Unfortunately, the closest one was in Charleston, South Carolina. About a 6 hour drive. But we did it anyway. We left on Saturday morning and arrived in Charleston that afternoon, enjoyed a PHENOMENAL concert, and then drove back home...because we had a test in our college economics class the next day. It was a brutal drive home. But it was well worth it to attend our first ever Pearl Jam concert. We would attend our second one about 2 years later...
But first, continuing with the countdown.
